Review by hotel critic
During my recent business trip to Lake Como, I had the pleasure of staying at the charming Albergo Diffuso Ca' Spiga in the picturesque hamlet of Torriggia Alta. This quaint B&B wonderfully captures the essence of authentic Italian hospitality, featuring pastel colors that harmonize beautifully with the lush green mountains surrounding it. Cinzia and Alessandro, the wonderful hosts, made me feel like family right from the moment I arrived. Their heartfelt welcome drink was the perfect touch, setting the tone for a delightful stay. Each morning, I savored a rich breakfast brimming with local flavors, eagerly enjoying my meal on the terrace with breathtaking views of the lake. The unique décor, with original floor tiles and the subtle scent of lavender wafting from the old drawers, truly transported me back in time. Though the rooms are set on the upper floors with no lift, the journey is well worth it for the stunning vistas and the cozy and intimate atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend Albergo Diffuso Ca' Spiga-it's not just a place to stay; it's a full immersion into the culture and history of this beautiful region.
